Professional Leadership:

Nancy Lakier co-founded the Sullivan Lakier Group in 2002 by merging her consulting company with Sullivan and Associates. She founded InnoVia Health, Inc. in 1996, a healthcare consulting organization of clinical and operations experts providing strategies and systems to advance clinical practice. Nancy has 25 + years of experience in diverse areas of healthcare; Consultation, Administration and Clinical Services in various aspects across the continuum. She is recognized for her expertise in health care operations and leadership, clinical and operational redesign, quality and financial improvement and system integration.

Professional Expertise:

Nancy’s leadership is attributed to key improvements in quality, service and financial performance in the midst of a rapidly developing managed care market. As an expert consultant, Nancy has led consulting projects for clients dealing with major organizational change. The clients range in size, are private and public, teaching and community, domestic and international. Nancy’s foundation in clinical redesign work was derived from her experience of leading the clinical and operational restructuring for the ScrippsHealth system due to the managed care pressures of the San Diego market place during the ‘90’s. In conjunction with a physician leader, Nancy spearheaded the development of Scripps’ nationally renowned CareTrac clinical pathway/documentation system, and created a joint venture with a major healthcare information systems’ company to create an automated pathway documentation tool. She led the system-wide Patient Focused, work restructuring and process improvement efforts for five of the Scripps Hospitals.

Previous Experience:

Prior to founding and serving as President/CEO for InnoVia Health, Inc., Nancy was the Associate Administrator for Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, CA., and Operations Strategist for Scripps Health. Prior to joining Scripps, Nancy held executive leadership positions at San Bernardino Community Hospital in California; Fort Hamilton-Hughes Memorial Hospital in Hamilton (Cincinnati), Ohio; and Children’s Memorial Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

Education:

Nancy holds a BSN from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She has served on the boards and leadership councils for a variety of professional healthcare organizations and remains active in several professional organizations.

Nancy is dedicated to finding a better way of delivering care by focusing on simultaneously improving quality and financial outcomes. She believes that by improving care processes and empowering people to work smarter, collaboratively, and innovatively, improved outcomes are achieved and valuable employees retained.
