Professional Leadership:

Denis Sullivan co-founded the Sullivan Lakier Group in 2002 by merging his consulting firm, Sullivan and Associates, with InnoVia Health. He has over nineteen years consulting experience with hospitals, group practices, and integrated delivery systems. During that span, he has completed over eighty projects for twenty-five clients in three countries.

Professional Expertise:

Denis’ experience in consulting covers nearly every healthcare setting: acute care and psychiatric hospitals, for-profit and religiously affiliated organizations, small community hospitals and large academic medical centers, individual and group physician practices. Within the acute hospital setting, he has performed multiple projects in virtually every hospital department. Denis’ areas of specialty include:

  • Financial analysis of hospital operations for improved revenue or reduced expense opportunities,
  • Hospital and group practice financial turnaround programs,
  • Management Service Organization (MSO) development,
  • Cost reduction and productivity improvement,
  • Labor benchmarking for acute and psychiatric hospitals and physician clinics,

Previous Experience:

Prior to founding the Sullivan Lakier Group, Denis was President of Sullivan and Associates, Inc. from 1988 until 2002. From 1985 through 1988, Denis worked with Performance Healthcare, Inc., a California based, hospital consulting firm specializing in hospital turnarounds.

Education:

Denis holds a Masters of Healthcare Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Villanova University. He has served on the boards of local healthcare organizations and is active in several professional organizations.
